When using the Colour Panel in InDesign or Illustrator you have control over each component colour channel when working in RGB or CMYK enabling you to mix specific hues of reds, purples, oranges etc.
Sometimes you’ll arrive at the colour you’re after but just need to go deeper or paler. If this has you fiddling with each slider trying to balance an alternate version then fiddle no longer.
Hold down the Shift key first, then grab a slider and drag. You’ll find all the colour sliders move in tandem whilst keeping the original balance, or ratio,of colour intact making it easy mix the colour to the desired intensity.
